Again for this week I was focusing more on the gloomier and wetter
side of spring and in this set of pictures I focused more on how it affected
the sky and the landscape. The first picture I took was of my driveway. I
really like this shot because it really gives a perspective on the weather
where I am as well as how it affects multiple plants. I took it very linearly
because I thought it was most powerful that way and I boosted the color to
enhance the overall effect of the rain. The second picture I took was of the
tops of some trees and the sky. It didn’t work out quite as I wanted it to
because it’s really hard to get good pictures of the sky but I did my best. I
wanted to show the gloominess of the day and the grey look to the sky. I used the fade effect to enhance that
effect and the picture turned out a lot better than I ever hoped for. The third
picture I took was of my back barn. For some reason I just think back there has
a lot of good textures and I think after it rains it enhances that feel. So I
decided to do that, however I didn’t just want to do a linear shot so I made it
look like the camera was peeking at this scene from nearby plant.
