Evolution Week 5: Altering the Face 2

Focusing on taking pictures that alter the face I decided to take these next three pictures in Photo Booth. I usually take these pictures in my room cause I have really good light and a really awesome lamp that can give great shadows.  The first picture I took I simply pointed the lamp towards the left side of my face which when put in negative makes the light black which I thought looked really cool especially having the shadow over my eye making it look like its glowing. The second picture I took I actually took my alibaba pants that my brother got from me when he went to India and put them on my head making a Grace Jones esque hood, which cast some cool shadows over my eyes, with the help of my big hair, which gave a kind of mysteriously ethnic look to the picture. I also used the “glow” setting on Photo Booth, which brought out the metallic colors in the pants. The last picture I actually took in my bathroom. Originally it was the thermal setting in Photo Booth but I decided to make it black and white when I moved it to iPhoto and amped up the contrast so it made a complete shadow over my eyes and gave a shine line over the top of my hair. I put my hands up to make the picture seem very linear; I thought it added a good effect. I think these picture show the evolution of my interest and experimentation in Photo Booth.
